EPL: ARSENAL TIPPED TO WIN PREMIER LEAGUE TITLE

Former Arsenal defender, Bacary Sagna, has said Mikel Arteta will lead the club to their first Premier League title since 2004.

Sagna played alongside Arteta during his seven-year stay at the Emirates between 2007 and 2014.

The Spaniard has now been appointed the manager of the Gunners, after three years working under Pep Guardiola at Manchester City.

Sagna, speaking with Goal, says the changes Arteta has made in his time in the dugout so far are obvious to see.

Asked if Arteta could lead the Gunners to the title, the Frenchman said: “I think so.

“Leicester did it and no-one expected them to, but they had a great team spirit and were fighting every single game.

“Arsenal can do it too, because if you face Arsenal it is always difficult because of the way they move and play.”
