THE ENDESA LEAGUE WILL NOT RETURN ON APRIL 24!

The brutal crisis in which the planet is plunged as a result of the coronavirus pandemic continues to force every day to postpone events of all kinds due to the impossibility of making forecasts.

This time it was the turn of the Endesa League , paralyzed, which on March 16 decided to stop the competition and set April 24 as the date for its resumption .

However, that objective has also been ruined , largely because everything indicates that the Government will prolong for a longer time a state of alarm that today expires 9/11.

Thus, the Association of Basketball Clubs (ACB) has issued a statement on the afternoon of this Thursday in which it announces that that date of April 24 is "without effect" waiting to see how events evolve with COVID-19.

"The 18 clubs that make up the ACB held a video conference briefing on Thursday to assess the effects of the period of temporary suspension and continue working in future scenarios," the note explained.

Consequently, the ACB cancels the date set for April 24 and will analyze the evolution of the health crisis in the coming weeks to make decisions, "the said statement concludes.

In summary, that there is no date for a possible resumption of the maximum competition of Spanish basketball despite the fact that the objective is to make it possible, as Antonio Martín has assured.

"On behalf of all the clubs, I want to show the deep pain for the ravages of this terrible pandemic . We accompany the sentiment to the families who are suffering it and who cannot say goodbye to their loved ones," said the president of the ACB.

"At a sporting level, the objective of resuming competition remains intact and we will analyze together with our clubs the best way to achieve this, always ensuring the health of all participants," added the expívot of Real Madrid.

After the dispute of the first 23 days and 11 of the conclusion of the regular phase, FC Barcelona leads the Endesa League alone with 19 victories and only four defeats after winning nine of their last 10 league matches.

The team led by Svetislav Pesic is followed by a victory for Real Madrid , champion of the last two editions. With 16 wins, Casademont Zaragoza is third, the great sensation of the current year after reaching 'semis' in the past.
