MANCHESTER UNITED FANS HIT WITH NEWS THAT MANY DON’T WANT TO HEAR

Manchester United fans should get ready for a fresh season of discontent, following the statement by the man in charge of transfers at Juventus, Fabio Paratici, that it will be hard for the Frenchman to leave Manchester United this summer simply because of his huge weekly pay check.

The 27 year old midfielder has only recently softened his stance at Old Trafford, where he has been on the war-path since the days of Jose Mourinho as manager. The World Cup winner, who departed Manchester United as a 20 year old, and headed to Italy where he made his name with Juventus, before returning to England five years later, has made no attempt to again bolt from England.

Himself and his agent, Mino Raiola had named Barcelona nad Juventus as two of the teams that will be his likely destination, with the Italian-born Dutch agent once getting into a verbal warfare with Ole Gunnar Solksjaer, the manager of United over the future of the player.

However, things turned when 25 year old Portuguese midfielder, Bruno Fernandes arrive at Old Trafford, and sparked a revival that saw Manchester United again looking a bit like the all-conquering team the fans love to watch; and Pogba voiced a desire to stay at United.

However, that announcement did not meet with the reactions he expected, as most of United fans – who were fed up with the antics of the Frenchman, took to social media to express their desire to see Pogba vacate his position as team captain, as well as depart the team.

But now, all that may count for nothing, as the global pandemic caused by the Corona virus has sent football into a downward spiral, with many clubs taking a financial hit due to lost revenue. “Paul Pogba is a fantastic player, we know him as a champion” he said but went on to quickly add that very few clubs would be willing to part with both the amount of money that his transfer would cost, and the amount of money that Pogba would earn weekly.

Instead of paying huge transfer fees, Paratici insists that clubs will most likely target player loans and player swaps, and even then, a player of Pogba’s stature may find it difficult to see teams that will want to take on his salary.

And should that be the case, Ole Gunnar Solksjaer may have to find a way to fit Pogba into his team, and the fans may just need to, once again, accommodate him in their affections.
