MADRID READY TO LISTEN TO OFFERS FOR JOVIC

Real Madrid are planning to cut their losses and sanction the departure of Luka Jovic this summer - according to Don Balon.

The Serbian striker arrived at Santiago Bernabeu for €60 million (£53m/$66m) last year, but has since failed to establish himself as a regular in Zinedine Zidane's line up.

Madrid will listen to offers for Jovic when the transfer market reopens, but do not expect to get a full return on their initial investment.


NEWCASTLE EYEING BURNLEY DUO


Newcastle are hoping to sign Burnley duo Jeff Hendrick and Robbie Brady this summer - according to Team Talk.

Both men are due to become free agents at the end of June, with the Magpies eager to complete a double deal without having to fork out a single penny.

Newcastle boss Steve Bruce signed Brady while he was in charge of Hull nine years ago, and is believed to be a keen admirer of Hendrick.


SAGNA : FEARLESS SALIBA CAN BE A STAR FOR ARSENAL


William Saliba has all the attributes needed to be a major success at Arsenal, according to Bacary Sagna.

Saliba signed for the Gunners last summer from Saint-Etienne in a £27 million ($34m) move, but as part of the deal he agreed to remain with the Ligue 1 side on loan this season.

He is due to link up with Arsenal at the end of the current campaign and when he does arrive, Sagna - who had a seven-year spell in north London and made 284 appearances - believes he has what it takes to go on to be a big hit.

Foxes planning surprise swoop


Leicester City have identified Barcelona playmaker Philippe Coutinho as a transfer target - according to SPORT.

The Brazilian is currently on loan at Bayern Munich, but the German champions are unlikely to take up the option to sign him permanently for €120 million (£106m/$131m) this summer.

Leicester are now hoping to lure Coutinho to the King Power Stadium on loan, but may face competition in the race for his signature from Manchester United and Chelsea.

Manchester City winger Raheem Sterling has been linked with a surprise return to Liverpool.

L'Equipe claim the England international could retrace his steps and head back to Anfield during the summer transfer window.

Sterling completed a £49 million ($61m) move to City from Liverpool in 2015, and has since won helped the club win two Premier League titles.

Man Utd set to miss out on French forward


Chelsea have emerged as the frontrunners in the race to sign Moussa Dembele from Lyon - according to the Daily Mirror.

Manchester United are also interested in the 23-year-old, but Blues boss Frank Lampard reportedly has first refusal on the striker ahead of the summer transfer window.

Dembele has 16 Ligue 1 goals to his name from 27 outings in 2019-20.




KANE'S TRANSFER STANCE IS 'UNDERSTANDABLE ', SAYS LINEKER

Tottenham striker Harry Kane shouldn't be criticised for being "honest" after admitting he could leave the club in order to fulfil his personal ambitions, according to Gary Lineker.

During a Q&A with former midfielder Jamie Redknapp on Instagram earlier this week, Kane insisted he wouldn't be afraid to leave Spurs if a time comes when he no longer feels they are "going in the right direction".

Lineker has described the England international's transfer stance as "understandable", while expressing his belief that Jose Mourinho's side are a long way off challenging for the Premier League title at the moment.

Real Madrid midfielder Isco is the subject of interest from Manchester City - according to Don Balon.

Pep Guardiola is a huge admirer of the Spanish playmaker, and the reigning Premier League champions are now weighing up an €80 million (£71m/$88m) summer bid.

Isco has fallen down the squad pecking order at Madrid this season, featuring in just 16 La Liga matches in total.

Two top Premier League clubs launch bids for Lille's Osimhen

Two top Premier League clubs have submitted offers for Lille forward Victor Osimhen - according to Sky Sports.

Manchester United and Arsenal have both been linked with the 21-year-old, who is currently valued at around £70 million ($86m).

Osimhen has hit 13 goals in 27 Ligue 1 appearances for Lille this season.




VERTONGHEN REJECTS NEW SPURS DEAL

Jan Vertonghen has failed to reach an agreement with Tottenham over a contract extension - according to Football Insider.

D.C. UNITED'S OLSEN EXPECTS CORONAVIRUS TO DISRUPT TRANSFERS

D.C. United boss Ben Olsen says that the club's transfer plans have been put "on hold" as this summer's market has already been impacted by the coronavirus outbreak.

Olsen says that clubs are very unsure of how this market will play out, especially in MLS, where teams tend to bring in big stars during the summer.

"I would be surprised if the transfer window is as active as it was last year," Olsen told reporters on a conference call Monday. "That's my guess. I don't know, who knows what it looks like. But are there bargains out there? Because of situations all over the world, are there different players available? I don't know, I don't think anybody knows.

'It's going to be a different summer transfer window than we've seen, that's for sure."


CANADIAN STAR DAVID LINKED WITH DORTMUND

Canadian star Jonathan David has been linked with a move to Borussia Dortmund, reports Ruhnachrichten.

The striker's agent says he wants to move to the Bundesliga, having also been linked with Bayern Munich and RB Leipzig.

David has scored 21 goals for Belgian side Gent this season and has fired 11 goals for Canada.


WILLIAN HOPES TO REMAIN IN ENGLAND

Chelsea star Willian says he hopes to remain in England even as his contract with the Blues nears its end.

The winger's deal is set to expire this summer, leaving him free to join a new club.
