2019 AFCON: TSG HOFFENHEIM APPLAUD KASSIM NUHU FOR GHANA ASSIST IN BENIN DRAW
German top-flight side TSG Hoffenheim have congratulated Kassim Nuhu following his performance in Ghana’s 2-2 draw with Benin in the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations on Tuesday.
The centre-back lasted the entire duration of the match and provided an assist for Ghana’s second goal.
Mickael Pote gave Benin a shock lead after two minutes before Andre Ayew restored parity for the four-time winners.
Jordan fired Ghana ahead after he was put through by a delightful Kassim Nuhu pass but Pote earned Benin a point after John Boye was dismissed for a second yellow card.
The Bundesliga outfit took to their twitter account to applaud their player after the game; “Kassim Nuhu got his Africa Cup of Nations campaign underway with a draw. @ghanafaofficial shared the spoils with #Benin in a match that finished 2-2. #Adams provided the assist for his side’s second goal ????“
The result leaves defending champions Cameroon at the summit of Group F on three points, Ghana and Benin trail on one point each with Guinea Bissau at the foot of the standings with no point.
Ghana next game is against the Indomitable Lions on Saturday at 5pm whilst Benin lock horns with Guinea Bissau later at the same venue.
