That was a serious heartbreaking boozy morning for millions of England rugby fans, after they got up at the crack of dawn and piled into pubs across the country to cheer on our rugby heroes.
Dreams of World Cup glory fizzled out quickly as Eddie Jones’ men were out-muscled by South Africa before eventually being crushed 32-12 in Yokohama.

Thousands of pubs opened early for the 9am kick-off, with queues seen snaking through streets ahead of the game.
Meanwhile, an army of red and white knights filled Japan’s Yokohama International Stadium and the surrounding bars.
Prince Harry was in the stands with Japan’s prime minister after delivering the Queen’s team-talk.
But the early excitement and optimism – on the back of a thrilling semi-final win against the All Blacks last weekend – was quickly dampened as England fell behind and never recovered.
Over in Japan, where a 6pm start allowed for more drinking time, fans were seen partying in the streets and belting out “Swing Low, Sweet Chariot”.
But supporters were left in tears at the final whistle as hopes of a second World Cup triumph were crushed by a superb Springbok side.

PM Boris Johnson praised South Africa’s ‘rock-like’ defence after cheering England on‘ONE OVER US’
Speaking after the match, fly half George Ford told ITV: “We were massively inaccurate first half.
“Couldn’t build any pressure. South Africa got us into that game which they are very good at.
“It’s a difficult one to take.
“You always want to get on the front foot in this game. You can’t fault our lads up front they’ve been great all tournament.
“South Africa got one over us today.”
