"WHAT THEY ASKED ME TO DO AT REAL MADRID SUITED MY NATURE" - JOSE MOURINHO

José Mourinho: "What they asked me to do at Real Madrid suited my nature.

"They told me that we had the best team in the world on the other side, that they were crushing us, and we had to reverse the situation.

"We had to prevent Barcelona from crushing us and that's why the Mestalla Copa final is the most important [trophy he won].

"From there, nothing was the same. We won LaLiga, the Supercopa, but nothing was like that Copa final.

"Unfortunately, I didn't manage to win any of the three Champions League semi-finals [I took Madrid to].

"Real Madrid was my best experience because of what I learned as a coach, as a man, from the lessons I took in my career and in my life.

"It's the best memory of my career, it was fantastic."
Often a polarising figure for many fans, Mourinho's work on his show has a lot of people praising him for his analysis.

"Love him or hate him, but you have to respect this man," one fan wrote.

Another said: "You can listen to him all day."

A third wrote: "Almost everybody hated Mourinho when he coaches and suddenly everybody loves him now that he is between jobs."

A fourth added: "Fantastic man, excellent pundit. And he's looking the happiest I've seen in a long time. He needed this break."

"I'm sick of saying that this guy is one of the best people in the world of football," said Eto'o. "I ended my career and the first person to send me a message was this man," said Eto'o at an event held by La Liga alongside Mourinho and Javier Tebas
