Khabib Nurmagomedov Taunts Conor McGregor After Submitting Poirier At UFC 242
Khabib Nurmagomedov couldn't resist a sly dig at Conor McGregor following his submission victory over Dustin Poirier at UFC 242.
Nurmagomedov beat Poirier to unify the UFC lightweight title and he issued a message to McGregor during his post-match interview.
He praised Poirier for his respect before explaining how he values the American way more than McGregor.

"I don't understand why I have so much in my life," he said to Jon Anik inside the Octagon. "I want to forget the b******t with the last guy [McGregor].
"Me and Dustin Poirier have showed MMA is about respect not trash-talking.

Nurmagomedov produced another stunning showing in Abu Dhabi. He stopped Poirier in the third round to not only defend his title but to also unify the division.
The 28-0 fighter is now 12-0 in the UFC, which includes two title defences.

The Dagestan destroyer is slated to face Tony Ferguson next and he insists he isn't interested in fighting McGregor again.
"This guy [McGregor] have to come back and make nine or ten-fight win streak. Then we gonna fight," he said.
"Maybe people who watch this interview, they think, 'Oh, he think about this, but when UFC ask this guy to fight Conor for millions of dollars, this guy is gonna take it'. No. Fight. Come back and show who are you.
"We talk with Dana sometimes, he's a good guy, but don't talk with me about this crazy fight. I want to fight real guys - Dustin Poirier, Tony Ferguson, maybe if one of the greatest athletes ever, Georges St-Pierre, wants to fight. I want to fight those guys. I don't want to fight with a guy who never wins."
