BRUCE-CUDJO PREDICTS WORLD TITLE FOR ALLOTEY
The CEO of Cabic Promotions, Ivan Bruce-Cudjoe, is confident of his boxer, Patrick Allotey, turning on the guns on Mexican Jaime Munguia when the fight on September 14, in the USA.
While reveling in his outfit producing a world champion, the manager said the 28-year-old Ghanaian pugilist was putting finishing touches to his preparations ready to face the Mexican.
Speaking to the Graphic Sports in an interview last Thursday, Bruce-Cudjoe sounded confident that his boxer was on the verge of making the nation proud when he slugs it out with champion, Munguia for the World Boxing Organisation (WBO) Super welterweight title.
"This is the dream of Cabic Promotions to groom our boxers to fight for world title and win, he noted."
He disclosed that Allotey will soon get a new trainer ahead of the fight and added that the boxer has intensified his training regimen.
"He is seriously training and preparing for the bout, he is eager to fight Munguia and beat him and he would leave no stone unturned to finish him off, he stated."
The Mexican who is undefeated in 33 bouts resides in the Mexican state of Tijuana, Baja California and six year younger than his Ghanaian challenger, last scored a majority decision over Irish, Dennis Hogan, for the WBO title three months ago at Arena Monterrey in Monterrey, Mexico.
Allotey on the other hand scored a unanimous decision against Congolese Sheriff Kasongo at the Bukom Boxing Arena in Accra in December last year for the WBO Africa Super welterweight belt.
Despite the Mexican's unassailability, Bruce Cudjoe believes Allotey would inflict the first defeat on the Mexican.
“Allotey is a very determined fighter, he has fought boxers from all different places and with different styles, he is vastly experienced and will undo Munguia”, he stated.
